I started CrossFit because of a girl. Fortunately, that girl is now my lovely wife of 5 plus years. I am not the type of person that does things halfway; most of us here aren't. I knew from day one that I am moving the needle toward a better version of myself everytime I enter the box. CrossFit is and has been a major part of my journey in sobriety, the outlet, community and accountability it provides have helped tremendously over the years. If I am feeling off, or having a bad day, coming into the gym for a WOD has made me feel better 100 percent of the time. CrossFit has enabled me to enjoy things outside the gym. I am able to say YES when someone ask me to do anything requiring strength or athleticism. From helping people move to running ultra marathons. If your reading this and on the fence about CrossFit I get it but there is a reason you kept reading and you deserve to see what your are capable of.

For me getting Sober in 2014 is and was the biggest turning point in my life. The disease of addiction kicked my butt for a long time but through a program of recovery, faith, family and CrossFit today I use that experience as an asset. To quote the great Ryan Holiday "my ego is not my amigo".
