I have been involved in sports and training for over 25 years. I was blessed to play as a walk-on athlete at Florida State University, where I earned my degree in Psychology. After graduating I went on to serve in the United States Navy for 9 years as a helicopter pilot. While in the navy I volunteered at a local HS as their Strength and Conditioning coach for 2 years and began participating in Triathlons. I moved to Atlanta and continued my involvement in Tri’s. I also worked part-time as a Personal Trainer, at Anytime fitness in Dallas, GA. Over the next several years I trained and competed in Triathlons for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). I blessed to complete several Olympic distances and 3 half ironman distance races (I still have a full Ironman on my bucket list). I was introduced to CrossFit 7 years ago and really enjoyed the workout and the community we had in the gym (Box) and the challenge that I Could take on. I became a CF coach after about 2 years as a member and coach for the next 2 years. My wife and I moved to Lexington, SC and began training out of our garage. After a couple of years in the garage, we decided to open CrossFit Lodestar.
